YIMHO is a utility website. You can use most tools without creating an account.

What we collect

• Technical logs such as IP address, user agent, and timestamps, used for security, rate limiting, and diagnosing errors.
• Optional analytics (Google Analytics) if configured — used to understand which tools are useful, not to sell personal profiles.
• If you contact us, the email address and message you send.

We do not require login for the first release. Future accounts may store saved conversions, countries, citations, and preferences.

Cookies

A session cookie is used for CSRF protection and, if you sign in as an administrator, to keep that session. Advertising partners (Google AdSense) may set cookies according to their policies when ads are enabled.

Third-party data

When you use a tool, YIMHO’s servers request data from providers such as Frankfurter, World Bank, Crossref, and OpenAlex. Your query (for example a DOI) is sent to those providers as needed to return a result. See data sources.
